My Mind's Eye Blog Challenge

When I saw that the new challenge on the My Mind's Eye blog was called "Blast From the Past", I knew immediately that I wanted to use the challenge to do my first heritage layout. I had a lot of fun with this, and put a lot of time and effort into it. My Cricut got a workout on this layout as well! All the PPs and the subtitle are 29th Street Market. The journaling cards are Tres Jolie. I cut the "A" and large fancy mat from the Storybook cartridge. "Faith" and "Love" were cut from the Opposites Attract cartridge. The chipboard letters are Making Memories, tiny alphas are by Adornit and the pearls are Recollections by Michaels. I handmade the flower from a tutorial here, also from 29th Street Market paper, added a Prima Fancies flower for a center and embellished it with Milled Lavendar Distress Stickles. Everything is distressed and the "A" and the squares of PP are also dry embossed using my Cuttlebug and the Textile embossing folder.
