Rosette Ornaments.....and my Christmas Tree!

Just wanted to share a few of the rosette ornaments I made this year for my Christmas tree. I made them using this tutorial. I actually went and got Christmas carol booklets rather than just generic music sheet paper (cuz I'm detail-oriented like that, LOL!). I also used border punches rather than just deco scissors. I really love the different variety that gave me! All embellishments are K&Co Evergreen and the baker's twine is Martha Stewart. TFL!

And my Christmas tree! It's so pretty this year, with all new lights and new tree topper, that I just had to share it!

American Crafts Blog Challenge

This week the blog challenge at the American Crafts blog is to create Thanksgiving place cards. This was especially challenging for me as most of my AC stash is Dear Lizzy, ribbon and Thickers! Thank goodness all AC papers have a solid back side! So I used the back side of Dear Lizzy Spring Puddle Play for the place card base. I used my EK Success Stamp Edge punch on a sheet of Dear Lizzy Enchanted Wise Tortoise paper, then cut the punched strip off and into 4 inch sections. The scallopped writing strip I *think* is Creative Imaginations, but it came in a kit, so I'm not sure. The letters are American Crafts Remarks. Flowers are Prima, brad is American Crafts, as is the leaf ribbon. TFL!

Tooooot!!! And a link to wreath tutorial...

My Autumn wreath was blogspotted today on the Create blog! I had a request for a link to a tutorial on how to make this. I used this tutorial posted on ACOT for the basic instructions. I changed mine up by cutting 1/2 inch wide strips instead of 1/4 inch. The scalloped circles were cut using my Cricut and the Storybook cartridge. I inked the edges using Chestnut ColorBox ink. "Autumn" was cut using the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge and embellished with K&Co stickers and jute. The paper I used for this wreath was from this K&Co paper pad by Tim Coffey. TFL!

Altered Christmas Frame Wreath

The ACOT November Crop was this past weekend and of course, that means fabulous classes, awesome challenges and just tons of fun and inspiration all around! The class I was most looking forward to was this Altered Christmas Frame Wreath and was taught by the fabulous Jess. Here is a link to the class, so that you can make your own if you would like! I used nearly all Echo Park Merry Christmas PPs on mine, with a little help from some Maya Road ribbon, Kaisercraft and Prima pearls. The bingo card is a digi element from this kit. TFL!
